The Story Behind
Nicky's Cruisin' Diner...
Nicky’s Cruisin Diner started in the early 1970’s as Nicky’s Ice Cream Parlor. Owners Howie and Karen Day took over in Nov. 1987. It was a few years later when they changed the name to Nicky’s Cruisin Diner.
The restaurant started with only 5 booths and 18 stools out front. The inside wall used to be the location of another soda fountain which remained until Jan. 1994.
That first renovation took out the counter, 18 stools, and replaced them with the current small counter and booths. Three years later, in May 1997, the back dining room was completed and thus began the collection of many unique items on display now. Every Wednesday night from the end of may through the end of September, Nicky’s is the place to be with cruise nite. Since 1992, people from all over this area bring their classic cars for good food, good company, and good music.
Fall 2005 started with the popular loyalty program for all our loyal patrons and winter 2006 marked the introduction of the well received Seniority Program.
Nicky’s is always changing and evolving to become a place where anyone from any background can come for a great meal at reasonable prices with great company!
